A personal welcome

My name is Amanuel Beserat.

For more than 12 years, the automotive trade has been my home — in both the new and the used car business. For the past four years I worked for the Porsche brand and know the vehicles, the documentation and the quality standards that truly matter.

With FIRSTCARMOTORS I source high-quality premium and luxury vehicles for you — from Mercedes-AMG and Porsche to Rolls-Royce, Ferrari and Lamborghini — on the best possible terms, directly from Japan. My goal: to make exceptional vehicles accessible without compromising on transparency or security.

With a larger investment in particular, you should know exactly who you are dealing with — personally, transparently and as equals.

Why Japan?

Why vehicles from Japan?

Japan is one of the largest and most mature automotive markets in the world — with a supply of premium and luxury vehicles that is rarely to be found in Europe.

Low mileage

Japanese drivers cover significantly fewer kilometres on average than Europeans. Vehicles with under 30,000 km are nothing unusual in Japan — yet hard to find in Germany.

Outstanding condition

The dry climate across much of Japan protects the bodywork and underbody. Add to that a deeply ingrained car-care culture — regular servicing is a social norm.

Rigorous auction inspection

Japanese auction houses (USS, TAA, JU) issue detailed condition reports — the so-called auction sheets. Every scratch, every dent is documented. No surprises.

Fair purchase prices

Through direct access to Japanese auctions and local partner networks, we source vehicles considerably more cheaply than via the European used-car market.

Rare equipment & special editions

For many marques, Japan was a premium market with exclusive specification lines. Vehicles with full leather, a panoramic roof or rare engine options are more readily available there.

The advantages of our service

What truly sets us apart

Four promises we keep — not as marketing slogans, but as the contractual foundation of every premium and luxury import from Japan.

A genuine warranty

Where competitors contractually exclude any warranty, we stand fully behind ours. You receive a German purchase contract with statutory liability for defects under the BGB (German Civil Code).

Transparent logistics

Ro/Ro or container — we choose the optimal shipping route based on vehicle value and your schedule. You receive seamless status updates from the auction yard to your doorstep.

Personal Porsche expertise

Four years of Porsche trading experience inform every vehicle appraisal. We see what auction photos do not show — and advise you as an equal, never with sales pressure.

Full cost transparency & escrow

Auction price, shipping, customs, TÜV and delivery — all itemised before you commit. Your purchase sum is held in a German escrow account until the vehicle is handed over.

An international network

Built up over years in the automotive trade: our own companies in Dubai and Germany, plus a dedicated partner in Japan. This network gives you access to vehicles and terms that remain closed to individual importers.

On-site inspection & our own facility

Our staff inspect every vehicle directly in Japan — paint-thickness measurement, mechanicals, engine. After winning the bid, it comes to our own facility in Kumagaya near Tokyo, is checked once more, prepared for export and taken to the port. All from a single source.

The world of live auctions

Straight from Japanese premium auctions

USS, TAA and JU are the largest auction houses in Japan. Every week, tens of thousands of vehicles are auctioned there with detailed condition reports — and as a licensed partner, we bid directly alongside.

A stylised sample — real auction sheets contain up to 100 individual fields and photos of every side of the vehicle.

How it works

Your premium import in 10 steps

From enquiry to handover of the keys — a clearly structured process for premium and luxury vehicles from Japan. No hidden costs, no surprises.

Step 01: Consultation & wish profile

A personal initial consultation: we define your desired vehicle (e.g. Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, Ferrari or Rolls-Royce), budget and timeframe. Deposit held in a German escrow account.

Step 02: Vehicle search

A targeted search across Japanese premium auctions based on your profile — make, model, year, colour, specification. We notify you as soon as suitable vehicles become available.

Step 03: Inspection & auction check

A detailed analysis of the auction sheet: condition grades, body assessment, interior check, photo documentation and history. Only vehicles that exceed our quality threshold make the shortlist.

Step 04: Purchase & live auction

With your maximum bid, we bid directly at USS, TAA or JU as a licensed partner. On a successful bid, you immediately receive the auction record and vehicle report — fully transparent.

Step 05: Transport within Japan

Collection from the auction yard, vehicle inspection report before loading, export customs clearance in Japan. We coordinate every step with our local partners on the ground.

Step 06: Shipping

Loaded onto a Ro/Ro freighter or into a secured container — depending on vehicle value and your preference. Ongoing status updates throughout the crossing. Typical transit time: 4–6 weeks.

Step 07: Customs clearance

Arrival at the EU port, full import customs processing including import VAT. All customs documents are prepared and filed by us — you need not worry about a thing.

Step 08: TÜV individual approval

Technical inspection and individual approval by an officially recognised assessor. We accompany the entire administrative process and ensure the vehicle meets all German requirements.

Step 09: Registration

We handle the official registration in your name — number-plate application, vehicle title (KFZ-Brief) and proof of insurance. The vehicle is fully registered on handover.

Step 10: Handover & warranty

A personal vehicle handover with the vehicle title, a German purchase contract including statutory liability for defects under German law, the auction documents and the complete vehicle history.

Frequently asked questions

What our clients ask

Answers to the most important questions about premium and luxury import from Japan.

Do I receive a warranty on an imported vehicle?

Yes. You receive a German purchase contract with statutory liability for defects under the BGB (German Civil Code). That fundamentally sets us apart from many importers who contractually exclude any warranty.

Which premium and luxury marques do you source from Japan?

We source Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley as well as BMW M and Audi RS. Thanks to our Porsche trading experience, there is a particular focus on Porsche models — from the 911 to the Cayenne.

How long does the import from Japan to Germany take?

From auction to handover, expect typically 8–12 weeks. Shipping by Ro/Ro takes around 6 weeks; customs, TÜV and delivery a further 2–4 weeks.

How is my money secured during the import?

Your purchase sum is held in a German escrow account until the vehicle is handed over. At no point do you bear the risk of losing money without a vehicle.
